Easy Way To Hide/Unhide Your Hard Disk Drives In Windows Using Command Prompt
Friends , Do you want to hide your local drives in Windows. Now i share an easy way to hide any local hard disk drives in Windows using command prompt. Command prompt actually the basic system in Windows operating system. You can do anything with command prompt. Actually command prompt is older version of Windows, Its name was DOS. Now its no longer available. Windows is an upgraded version of DOS. So we can operate our computer with command prompt. But command prompt is not familiar to normal people. So we are always do manually. This post contain an important way to hide your drive with command prompt. You can hide any drive using this trick. I am also provide a information to unhide drive from windows. If you are interested to do this trick. Please follow this post. and obey instructions carefully. Because some wrong command makes un expected errors.
Hide Drive
Start Windows operating system.
- Click on Start Button.
- Search for “Run”.
- In Run type “ cmd ”. (This will open Command Prompt)
- Now type “ Diskpart ” in command prompt and press Enter key.
- Now popup another window like command prompt. This will start your Diskpart session.
- Now type “ List volume ”. Hit Enter key. Now appear hard disk partition list.
- Select one drive from list for hide. (Example: Volume 3)
- Type “Select volume 3 ”. Hit Enter key. Volume 3 drive will be selected now.
- Then type “ Remove letter E ”. Press Enter key.
- Now your Drive will hide from your computer. If not just restart your computer.
- Done.
Unhide Drive(First 8 step same above)
Start Windows operating system.
- Click on Start Button.
- Search for “Run”.
- In Run type “ cmd ”. (This will open Command Prompt)
- Now type Diskpart in command prompt and press Enter key.
- Now popup another window like command prompt. This will start your Diskpart session.
- Now type “ List volume ”. Hit Enter key. Now appear hard disk partition list.
- Select Hided drive from list. (Example: Volume 3)
- Type “Select volume 3 ”. Hit Enter key. Volume 3 drive will be selected now.
- Now type “ Assign letter E ”. Press Enter key. (You should type your volume name instead of “ E ”)
- Now your drive will unhide. If not, please restart your computer.
- Done.
