• Open VLC Media Player .

• Go to  Menu bar and Click on Preferences option under Tools.

• Select video option. Then you need to select DirectX (Direct Draw) Video Output and make sure that Accelerated Video output (Overlay) enabled.

• Open a video with VLC Media Player, which you want to make as wallpaper.

• Select video from menu bar and check on Set as wallpaper.

• Done

 

Note: Do not close your VLC media player. If you close it, Video disappear from desktop.
